I wasn't able to even skip them with esc or space bar after a while, and I've heard of others having the same problem. The ads take like half a minute out of your time before you can get to the menu.

This will bring you literally right to the menu minus the ESRB notice for 2 seconds.

Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Game\Localized\Video

delete or rename the extensions with the ones starting in Trailer.

I made the extensions .sfd to .sfdz

if anyone knows how to bypass the ESRB Notice ad too, post it but it isn't a big deal.

Re: How to create an iPhone ringtone without GarageBand

nice. sounds like a simple solution. thanks, garret.

j

Re: Feature placeholders

So you don't find it to be a tease, like "we know you want to be able to do this, and we thought about it, we just didn't bother to implement it for you"? :)

Re: Feature placeholders

Definitely not. If they hadn't put in the popup I would have assumed the feature may never be implemented. Instead, they're telling me they just haven't found time for it yet.

Re: How to create an iPhone ringtone without GarageBand

It's 40 seconds max.

Re: Mac Terminal tip: pbcopy and pbpaste

What's up w/ them calling it pasteboard instead of clipboard?

Re: Mac Terminal tip: pbcopy and pbpaste

Not sure, they call it 'Clipboard' on the man page...

Re: Mac Terminal tip: pbcopy and pbpaste

Xclip reinvented, typical *nix. You can integrate it with the normal gnome/kde clipboard as well, I alias xclip as "xclip -sel clip".

Re: Mac Terminal tip: pbcopy and pbpaste

Oh, and if x11 forwarding is setup, xclip works across systems too!

Re: How to create an iPhone ringtone without GarageBand

They make it very easy if you buy the song through iTunes. :p Damn them.

Re: How to create an iPhone ringtone without GarageBand

Wow...another breathtaking example of apple's consumer-focused simplicity of design...and all with one mouse button (if you ignore that every command is right-click) :p
